Eastern nutrition

Food can be either our medicine or our poison, understanding one’s chemistry is essential for a preventative approach to health. My work and experience have given me an appreciation for both Eastern nutrition principles and biochemical nutrition. I see these two approaches as complementary. Eastern nutrition emphasizes balance, harmony, digestion, and the energetic qualities of food, while biochemical nutrition examines the body’s nutritional requirements at the cellular and metabolic levels. Together, these perspectives offer a more complete understanding of how food and nutrition can support the body’s natural processes and overall well-being.

Bringing these two perspectives together has become an important part of how I view nutrition. I believe there is value in understanding both the science of nutrition and the wisdom of traditional approaches to nourishment. Each can contribute something meaningful to our understanding of the body and its natural processes.
